Audits Kubernetes MutatingWebhookConfigurations to detect aggressive failure policies and high timeouts risking API server lockups.
This workflow connects to the target Kubernetes cluster using kubectl to inspect all MutatingWebhookConfiguration resources. It evaluates admission webhook definitions configured with failurePolicy: Fail alongside high timeoutSeconds values (>=10s). When third-party admission controllers (such as service mesh sidecar injectors or security scanners) experience network degradation, the API server blocks or refuses pod creation requests across the cluster. Identified configurations trigger an alert to Slack.
