Provides enterprise-grade Ansible orchestration with containerized Execution Environments.

Key Features

  • Namespace Files Support: Load playbooks, roles, and inventories seamlessly from Kestra's internal storage directly into the Execution Environment.
  • No UI Log Bloat: Streams a configurable number of logs live to the Kestra UI and saves the complete execution log as an internal storage file, avoiding massive unreadable logs on large playbooks.
  • Structured Telemetry: Parses Ansible job events in real-time, delivering a compact JSON telemetry report with host-by-host statistics and exact failure extraction.
  • Auto-dependency Management: Can automatically run ansible-galaxy install and pip install based on requirements files in your project directory.

Execution Flow

  1. The task provisions an ephemeral /runner/ directory tree.
  2. The playbook, inventory, and variables are mounted securely into the layout.
  3. The chosen TaskRunner (e.g., Docker) executes ansible-runner run.
  4. Telemetry is parsed, and the artifacts are cleaned up safely.
