What You’ll Do

As our QA Engineer, you will use Kestra daily, explore features, try out new functionality, and share your observations with the team through GitHub issues. You will report bugs, flag confusing or unexpected behavior, and help us understand where things can be improved from a user perspective.

This role is focused on hands-on product use and qualitative feedback. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to communicate issues and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Use Kestra every day and become an expert on its functionality

  • Identify and report bugs, usability issues, and unexpected behaviors

  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to the product and engineering teams

  • Clearly explain in writing how to reproduce and diagnose issues

  • Proactively validate new functionality to ensure it meets our standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical background in backend software engineering or DevOps.

  • Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with SQL and experience with scripting languages such as Python or Node.js.

  • Ability to learn quickly, we have a lot of differents technology to test.

  • Experience with SaaS or developer tools (previous QA experience is a plus, but not required).

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms or developer infrastructure.

  • Strong attention to detail and curiosity about how things work.

  • Clear communicator who can explain issues and feedback in plain English.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing product environment.

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow.

  • Bonus points if you have experience with workflow automation, orchestration tools, or open-source projects
